OGMs LED Navigation Lights Standard Equipment on African Cats New FastCat Yachts

Premier Catamaran Builder African Cats chooses low power, reliable LED lights from Orca Green Marine Technology as standard equipment on its high performance sailing and power catamarans

Austin, TX June 30, 2004 -- Orca Green Marine Technology Corporation (OGM) announces today that African Cats of South Africa and The Netherlands will begin installing OGMs LED Navigation lights as standard equipment on all its performance sailing and power catamarans. The low power LED lights are slated for African Cats newest line of performance cruising catamarans called the FastCat 435, and will soon be included on all other African Cat yachts later this year.

In announcing the shift from traditional incandescent navigation lights to OGMs LED navigation lights as the standard lighting package, African Cats head, Gideon Goudsmit said, We have chosen the LED option made by Orcagreen because of the energy savings and the reliability. The brighter light intensity stays the same over 50,000 hours and that helps the safety of our clients. We all know it is no fun to change a light bulb in the mast and the energy saved helps us in making our performance catamarans lighter because we can take out one service battery.

While the companys international LED lighting sales have been steadily growing as an aftermarket accessory, this marks the first international boat builder installation for OGMs LED marine lights.
